Off on a Comet! a Journey through Planetary Space

The story begins when a massive comet collides with Earth causing a group of people along with a portion of land to be flung into space and onto the surface of the comet. Among the survivors are Captain Hector Servadac his loyal orderly Ben Zoof and a diverse group of characters including soldiers civilians and even a Spanish actress.As they find themselves on the comet which they name Gallia the group must adapt to their new celestial surroundings. They discover that Gallia has its own atmosphere and gravity making survival possible. The novel follows their adventures as they explore this newfound world encounter strange phenomena and deal with the challenges of living on a comet.One of the central conflicts in the story arises when the group encounters another human settlement on the comet leading to tensions and power struggles.
