<p>Olga Armstrong - later known to scores of north London school pupils as Mrs Qasim - continues to home tutor local children and teenagers in any one of a range of subjects though her favourite remains Maths A level. Not bad for 87 years of age! </p><p>But there is much more to Olga than her undisputed qualities as a teacher. </p><p>Her story starts in a small town in what was then British Guiana and follows her on her journey to study in the UK through the challenges of marriage and divorce to her ability to juggle single motherhood creative writing postgraduate studies heart surgery and home ownership. </p>
