Olive psyllid Euphyllura straminea become a key pest during the last few years on olive trees in Egypt. Species seemed to be a monophagous species. The activity period was coinciding with the phenology of olive trees. Species was aestivated on buds of terminal twigs suckers and water shoots of olive trees passed through one annual generation. Natural products (3 4 dihydroxyphenolethanol) had toxic and repellent effects on both nymphs and adults.
