<p><strong><em> On the Farm with Harry -- BOOK 2 -- The Happy Farmer</em></strong> is the sequel to <strong><em> On the Farm with Harry -- BOOK 1 --The Move</em></strong>. It's a chapter book -- <u>Written for a parent/grandparent to read to a child </u> with questions for interactive discussion at the end of each short chapter.</p><p> A family of three (soon to be four) Mom Dad and Harry (a boy just turning 5) moved from Chicago to a small family farm in Wisconsin. Harry now has a puppy to care for; Dad just bought a crate of baby chicks which gives Harry learning opportunities -- caring for the chicks as they grow -- the daily supply of food and water locking the henhouse each night gathering eggs as they become full-grown. </p><p> Other chores need doing -- Dad and Harry plant a garden and now it needs tending.-- Harry is a big help there as well. </p><p> . But there are fun times too. Harry's birthday party with new neighbor friends -- playing games listening to Dad reading a book eating popcorn Mom and Dad are always encouraging Harry and he is learning to be positive thoughtful courteous determined and responsible. </p><p> The story is not a fantasy -- There are no Wizards no Fairies no Magic Portals or Genies granting Wishes -- </p><p> Instead this story is a realistic fictional account of a modern-day family with Christian values who have decided to escape the roar of the big city -- to rear their children in rural America. : . </p>
