As a child strolling the uneven cobblestone walks or gazing upon her beautiful mansions the past came alive; anxious to whisper its secrets. Even today she cannot pass through one of the squares without pausing beneath those ancient moss-bearded oaks to wonder who might have stood there before; what was said; how they handled the problems in their lives; if they were happy; ... if they deserved to be. Thus began On The Chin Of A Giant and its sequel On The Foot Of A Mountain pre-Civil War novels nearly a lifetime in the writing. But a story yearning to be told for eons.</p>
