On Writing Series

Ball began researching the poetics of series fiction after writing a sequel and discovering all his storytelling instincts no longer applied. This book is the culmination of culmination of several years of research into why series fiction is different to writing a stand-alone book and how those differences can be used to generate poetic effects.</span></p>
