Once On A Time

Once on a Time is a novel written by A. A. Milne the author of Winnie-the-Pooh. The story takes place in the imaginary kingdoms of Euralia and Barodia which are on the brink of war. The Prince of Euralia a young and impulsive man falls in love with the Princess of Barodia but their romance is thwarted by the political tension between their two kingdoms. To prevent war a wise old king suggests a test of courage intelligence and loyalty to determine whether the Prince is worthy of the Princess's hand in marriage. Along the way the Prince and his faithful companion a court jester named Florian encounter magical creatures and face a series of challenges that test their bravery and cunning. Milne's trademark humor and whimsy shine through in this charming and imaginative fairy tale which was first published in 1917 and has remained a beloved classic for over a century.
