Once Upon a Phone

<p>Amelia Rose Gardiner lives in the tiny fishing village of Hook by the Sea. Amelia is ten and wants her own phone but her parents don't see the need for it and can't afford it anyway even if it counts for two birthdays and a Christmas and even if they never have to give her another gift ever again. So Amelia does what any self-respecting precocious ten-year-old would do: she sets out to find a job and buy it herself. This is a story of determination disappointment friendship and love as seen through the eyes of a child.</p>
