One Date

<p>Over the years Jack O'Riley has shown zero interest in me aside from our friendship. Even when I tried to tell him how I felt four years ago... </p><p>That's how I ended up dating his best friend but now three years later that's over and Jack's following me on a London sidewalk asking me for just one date. </p><p><em>I mean what's the worst that could happen?</em></p><p>The heat in his eyes and the way I've always felt 'seen' by him has me agreeing even when I know I should say no.</p><p>But then our one date leads to more and to protect myself I say something that's not true. After all what can a woman like me offer a man who has everything? </p>
