One-Party Dominant Systems and Constitutional Democracy in Africa

Africa has received less attention than it deserves in the literature on democracy and democratization and this is the focus of this book. The hypothesis of this work is that Presidentialism interacts with one-party dominance to inhibit the consolidation of new democracies.
