One Street Two SystemsChungYingStreet: an Institutional Theoretical

About The Book

About 250 metres long “Chung Ying Street” is separated by twelve stones serving as the boundary. Before 1st July 1997 one side of the street was controlled by the Communist government of China while the other side was under the rule of the British colonial government yet the whole street adopted the Hong Kong Western business model. The street was recognised as a “treasury street” which was a loophole of sorts in an otherwise curtained country.
