Open sources contain publicly available informationat a low cost. The amount of open source informationan individual has access to has increaseddramatically in the 21st century. The question is howto evaluate these diversified open sources inproducing intelligence- supporting the policymakersin making their decisions by providing them with thenecessary information. To retrieve the actionableintelligence from huge amounts of open sourceinformation and to do source validation are bigchallenges. In this book an open source intelligence(OSINT) integrated intelligence model is proposedand compared with the traditional intelligence model.The contemporary intelligence analyst and his OSINTmaking process is discussed.
