This book described the performance of Bat Algorithm in comparison with Genetic Algorithm for power loss minimisation and voltage profile enhancement in radial distribution network. Power flow model was developed based on load current Bus Injected to Branch Current (BIBC) and Branch Current to Bus Voltage (BCBV) matrices. The implemented Algorithm was validated on standard IEEE 33-bus radial distribution network and tested on a 62-bus radial distribution network in Kaduna. Simulation were performed on MATLAB R2013b environment.
