Optimization of Photovoltaic Systems in Arid Zones

This book examines the obstacles and solutions associated with implementing solar energy in Algeria's desert territories highlighting the influence of the environment on the performance of photovoltaic devices. It then examines the negative impacts of dust and sand on solar panels based on an analysis of current research into maintenance techniques and technologies aimed at optimizing their efficiency. Finally the book presents an experimental study that evaluates the direct effect of dust accumulation on the energy performance of solar panels revealing a significant decrease in their yield.
