About The Book

In present study simple salt gradient solar pond thermal storage device is optimized using thermo-siphon heat exchanger by applying MOGA optimization technique. In this study one basic design is experimentally investigated which is rectangular in shape. A solar pond consists of three basic zones in it which was named as LCZ NCZ and UCZ. Two of them LCZ and NCZ are made by brine solution and upper most UCZ is made with fresh water. In present study CFD modeling tool is also used to solve some other combinations which are not investigated in experimental work and to get additional result of some more characteristics and properties of salt gradient solar pond.
