Oral Manifestations of Bleeding Disorders

Hematologic diseases mainly include disorders related to red blood cells white blood cells and platelets which are the major components of blood.To rule out presence of hematologic diseases in a given patient history should begin with standard medical questionnaires; Enquiry should be done about any previous prolonged bleeding episode post-surgery or injury any spontaneous bleeding or frequent bruising. Drug history is very important and should be recorded in detail to know if the patient is on anticoagulants.
