Oral Submucous Fibrosis

Oral submucous fibrosis is crippling disease of oral cavity having multifactorial etiology with areca nut chewing the most elicited one characterized by reduction vasculature and sub epithelial fibrosis followed by epithelial atrophy .OSMF is a diagnosis based on clinical symptoms and confirmation by histopathology. Thus . Prevention is most important in case of OSMF because severe cases of OSMF are irreversible.
