Orally Disintegrating Tablets of Amlodipine Besylate

In the present study orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs) of amlodipine besylate was prepared by using two types of natural super disintegrants in different ratios by direct compression method. The basic approach followed in this study was to achieve rapid disintegration. The evaluation of ODTs of amlodipine was performed for general appearance physical parameters such as hardness friability wetting time weight variation uniformity of drug content in vitro disintegration in vitro dissolution studies. The above-mentioned tests were performed using the official procedures and with modified testing procedures collected from various research articles. Further the ODT formulations were subjected to further evaluation testing.
