Organic Gardens in the Teaching-Learning Process

This book brings together texts that address how an organic garden can be of fundamental importance to the learning process. Inserted into a school environment it serves as a living laboratory built for the practice of know-how. By using strategies and themes related to gardening an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning is established enabling the development of various activities focused on environmental education in a contextualized way. One of the reasons for this publication is to offer basic conditions for obtaining organic vegetables to incorporate into the diet at home with family or at school without the use of pesticides chemical inputs and highly soluble fertilizers which can be harmful to health affecting both humans and nature.
