This ebook provides students professionals and producers with the necessary elements to understand and improve all aspects of their pig operation through the management tool that is organisational diagnosis. The authors were guided by two main concerns when preparing the book. Firstly to introduce students to the SWOT model which is used to analyse and diagnose the internal and external environment of farms in a simple and accessible way. Secondly to ensure that agricultural professionals and producers are able to organise their knowledge of pig farming. The content of this ebook translates all the academic and practical knowledge into solutions for the challenges that producers face on a daily basis when dealing with this activity. Despite its practical nature this e-book is far from being a 'recipe'. Throughout its chapters it endeavours to deal with the most diverse theoretical implications surrounding the process of raising pigs.
