Organised crime as a source of insecurity in Africa

About The Book

As part of this research it was appropriate to make an argument about one of the international security issues. We set out to address the issue of the perception of criminal threats in the international arena. Among these threats our attention focused mainly on the security of states in Africa against organized crime. Criminal activities include trafficking in drugs weapons wildlife international cybercrime trafficking in human organs trafficking in cultural property cybercrime illegal immigration etc. However this crime causes great security and stress to state actors. These criminal activities also remain titanic problems in the smooth running of the criminal policy of states. States seem to remain forever in a great security psychosis. In any case in view of the above one could affirm the fragility of states. Their sovereignty remains in question in the context of this transnational insecurity.
