Organizational Behavior in Educational Management

About The Book

The term the “education system” is used as a conceptual framework to mean the formal educational system. This refers to the hierarchical structure of institutionalized full-time educational activities stretching from the primary school through to the university. However the term also refers to: a) Any sub-system within the formal structure such as pre-school primary school secondary school an individual school university individual classroom or particular course of study. b) Any “non-formal” yet systematic teaching-learning process aimed at particular objectives but conducted outside the formal system such as extension service for farmers an on-the-job training or a work-oriented literacy programme. A system is an entity composed of: A number of parts; The relationships of those parts; and The attributes of both the parts and the relationships. The benefits of the education system take many forms: economic non-economic individual and societal. There is need to understand or work with any system; and therefore the need to know the system’s components and also how these components are functionally related.
