About The Book

This study focuses on the effects of the orientation workshop and the vocational maturity of high school students in Burkina Faso. The study focused on theories of vocational indecision the activation of personal development and above all vocational maturity approaches. It analyzes the degree of difficulty that students encounter in formulating a study choice and shows how the information given during an orientation workshop can act to reduce these difficulties and in turn on the vocational maturity of the latter by facilitating the formulation of a judicious choice. To this end the study is organized around two groups. An experimental group and a control group for a total of forty participants. Unlike the control group the experimental group benefited from an orientation workshop during the course of the study. Using a questionnaire this methodology enabled us to assess the variation in the degree of difficulty encountered by these students in formulating their choice of study and subsequently determine their level of vocational maturity before and after the orientation session.
