Origin of Architectural Decor from the Cathedral Monastery Studenica

Through this scientific work the author draws the parallels and analogies between the most important monuments of Romanesque sculptures from Poland especially the bronze doors in Gniezno and stylish decorations of Serbian medieval monuments. Through the conducted analysis and comparison he proves the evident influence of polish Romanesque art on the appearance of these stylistic forms on our territories. From this new perspective of mutual linkage of European cultural heritage expressed in the unity and diversity of certain stylistic epochs dr Velimir Matanović through critical point of view of the past historiographic interpretations builds a road for other researchers for the new studies of significance and influence of Central European art in the period of Middle Age.
