Every life is a story — sometimes poetry sometimes war sometimes a stir sometimes silence. This story is a reading of those unspoken voices that we often suppress within: pain hope struggle and the desire to return. I have written this story with the same spirit — not for any dramatic exaggeration nor for show — but simply because the pain we have endured is what makes us human; and the hope we have found is what gives us the courage to move forward.

This story is set against a middle-class background about those faces and tales whose names never make it to the newspapers yet whose battles are fought daily. If this awakens someone within the reader — even a small voice — then the author's intention will be justified.
