OSSEODENSIFICATION IN DENTAL IMPLANTS

This work reviews the evolution principles and clinical relevance of osseodensification a modern biomechanical implant site preparation technique that enhances bone density and improves primary and secondary implant stability. Unlike conventional subtractive drilling osseodensification preserves and compacts bone increasing bone-to-implant contact insertion torque and overall implant success especially in low-density bone. The work discusses implant history bone quality stability concepts and compares traditional methods such as under-preparation and osteotomes with osseodensification highlighting its advantages in ridge expansion sinus elevation faster healing and long-term osseointegration. Through an extensive literature review the dissertation emphasizes the growing clinical significance of osseodensification in improving outcomes in challenging implant scenarios.
