The clinical presentation of ossifying fibroma varied depending on its site of occurrence. OF’s occurring in the mandible were generally well demarcated and responded favorably to complete resection and reconstruction. However extramandibular OF’s showed a more aggressive pattern and tendency for recurrence. Endoscopic resection with mandatory post-operative follow up has been suggested as a viable option in such cases to lower both morbidity and recurrence. The distinction between the various types of OF is made based on age of occurrence and histological appearance. Treatment is always surgical and radiotherapy is contraindicated. There was no case of malignant transformation.
