Life has a funny way of pulling you into its rhythm even when you're not quite ready to dance. For me it started with a saxophone by Crescent Lake and a boy named Felix whose music spoke to the messy raw parts of me I'd been hiding for too long. I wasn't looking for anything-not a band not a connection and definitely not a reason to remember the piano I'd sworn off since losing my mom. But somehow Felix's music tugged at the edges of my grief challenging me to find my way back to the joy I thought I'd lost. Now between jazz sets unexpected sparks and the occasional run-in with my ex I'm navigating this unpredictable melody we call life. And maybe just maybe it's time to play a new tune.
