<p><em>Book is suitable for 6-11 year old.</em></p>In this book Kate and Tom go for walk in a wood to learn about this ecosystem. The long time it takes for trees to grow is mentioned. They are taught about the function of trees and their importance in the water cycle and how leaves help to remove carbon dioxide from the air. They learn that we obtain wood and paper from trees. Ways of reducing use of paper are also discussed so as to consider how to reduce deforestation which could be harmful to humans in the long term.
