Out of the Silence

These poems written when the author was in her seventies and eighties recall the joys and sadness of earlier times life as a widow after nearly sixty years of marriage and the emotions that overwhelmed her after the death of her husband. Ultimately these are contemplations on a loving fulfilling and in many ways remarkable life. Gloria Fox was born and raised in Ontario Canada but has been a long-time resident of New York City. She began writing prose and poetry after her husband died in 2007 and she went on to write a memoir One More Time: A Journey of Love and Loss which was published in 2016. This is her first collection of poems.
