<p>Ilyas Sitapuri is a writer of historical fiction in Urdu whose writing style is not only unique and close to reality but also completely different from the style of textbooks and historiography. He has never emphasized on proving the accuracy of the events but instead of the main characters of this era he has tried to explain this era through a minor character which makes the reader feel like he is walking in the same era and the events are happening in front of him. The strange story of a Muslim ruler of Gujarat who had confidence in his two emirs but the emir whose piety and devotion he was impressed with betrayed him and killed his own king.</p><p>/</p><p>الیاس سیتاپوری، اردو میں تاریخی کہانیاں لکھنے والے ایسے مصنف ہیں جن کا طرز تحریر نہ صرف منفرد اور حقیقت سے قریب ہے بلکہ نصابی کتب اور تاریخ نگاری کے انداز سے یکسر مختلف ہے۔ انہوں نے کبھی واقعات کی صحت کو ثابت کرنے پر زور نہیں دیا بلکہ اس عہد کے مرکزی کرداروں کے بجائے ایک معمولی شخصیت سے اس عہد کو سمجھانے کی کوشش کی ہے جس سے قاری خود کو اسی دور میں چلتا پھرتا اور واقعات کو اپنے سامنے رونما ہوتے ہوئے محسوس کرتا ہے۔ گجرات کے ایک مسلمان حکمران کی عجیب و غریب داستان جسے اپنے دو امیروں پر اعتماد تھا مگر جس امیر کے تقویٰ اور عبادت گزاری سے وہ متاثر تھا ، اسی امیر نے غداری دکھاتے ہوئے اپنے ہی بادشاہ کو قتل کر دیا۔</p>
