Pabi Beega & The Mongoose Monster

This is the story of two little boys Pabi and Beega who live on the island of St. Croix. Their mother fed them their meals on a table outside on the deck so she didn't have to sweep up all the crumbs that they dropped while eating. Often when the boys did not like their food they would throw some of it under the deck. To their surprise the food would disappear! Soon they discovered that a mongoose who lived under the deck was eating all of their scraps! After a while the mongoose grew big and fat from all the food that the boys gave him. One day when their grandmother saw the animal she called it a mongoose monster! This delightful story goes on to tell the mongoose's tale.
