Fibromyalgia is the third most common musculoskeletal disorder and the second most common pathology encountered in outpatient rheumatology practice after osteoarthritis. It is predominantly female with an average age of between 40 and 60 and its prevalence increases with age. Fibromyalgia affects on average 2 to 10% of the world's population and its prevalence in Tunisia is estimated at 8.7%.Because of the pain it causes fibromyalgia considerably alters the quality of life of sufferers and entails significant economic costs.It is therefore essential to have a good understanding of its physiopathology and its various symptoms of which pain is the main symptom in order to start optimal management of this disease.It is in this context that this study was carried out with the following objectives: to describe the characteristics of pain in fibromyalgia to study the factors associated with pain and to assess the impact of these factors on pain management.
