Pandu Roga and Anaemia

Anaemia the word has come from ‘Anaimia’. ‘An’ means without and ‘Haima’ means Blood. Pandu is described in almost all authentic Ayurvedic literatures. As the name denotes the main feature of Pandu Roga is Pandutva. A number of references of Pandu Roga are seen in ayurveda Lexicons and Vedas. Numerous references of anaemia are also seen in many modern medicine texts. In this book an attempt is made to briefly compile these references which may be helpful to under graduate and post graduate students of ayurveda.
