Papa

Papa takes its title and subject from the biography of Ernest Hemingway Papa Hemingway. Bought off the street in the East Village I quickly read this book and immediately began creating blackout poetry on the pages; shortly after that I started drawing first my visions of Hemingway then Hemingway in sexual terms. What began as a meditation of Hemingway the man quickly turned into an exploration of the homosexual and homosocial appeal of the Hemingway/Daddy Bear archetype.
