In the serene village of Baisaran “Mini Switzerland” of the lower Himalayas lives Inayat a kind teacher at Army Goodwill School. Her mornings begin with her grandmother Sofiya’s quiet gaze at a painful past. Surrounded by pine forests snow peaks and the Lidder river’s melody life seems peaceful—until the calm shatters. Gunfire echoes from nearby Pahalgam panic spreads and Inayat gathers her students close her courage shielding them in the face of fear.
