PARASITOLOGY: A ZOOLOGIST PERSPECTIVE

Parasitology is the study of parasitic organisms and has a long history and deep root in Zoology. This book looks at parasitism from the eye of a Zoologist. Parasites are widespread agents of diseases in the tropics and constitute the greatest threat to the health and socio-economic status of the people. The myriad of problems caused by parasites with regards to the morbidity and mortality inflicted on mankind and his domestic animals is colossal. The book emphasizes the classification of parasites their life cycles and epidemiological factors affecting their distribution diagnosis and their prevention and control.
