The purpose of the publication is to determine the interaction between parents and children and the perception of the adolescent about the beginning of sexual life. A descriptive comparative and correlational study was conducted with a population of high school students in the fifth year of two educational institutions in Puno: Glorioso San Carlos and San Ignacio de Loyola the sample was non-probabilistic for convenience of adolescents and parents participants. Two instruments were used for data collection: Coopersmith Self-Esteem Questionnaire for adolescents and Wiliam Schutz''s Firo Mate questionnaire for parents which assesses the interaction between two people. The results in this study through statistical tests states that there is an average positive correlation in the interaction of the adolescent towards his father and perception of the adolescent. In a comparison of both schools 56% have a high and stable level of self esteem. The mother''s parental relationship is moderate and low with the father.
