Paritykta is a real story of a woman who was not caring her husband who was judge in high court. The judge tolerated her abnormal behavior for long ten years and suffered silently without complaining about her strange behavior to her parents. He did not say a single word to his wife who deprived him of his sexual right. Ultimately when he could no more bear the mental torture meted out by his wife he divorced her and married the maid who was sincere and caring. The novel depicts the miserable condition of the divorcee who ultimately dies because of depression. The ex husband performs her last rites . The novel conveys message to such women who ruin their married life by ignoring their husband
