About the Book: In my book I tell the story of West Bengal during the time when the Communist government was in power over a span of almost three or four decades. What was the condition of the common people there? Were they satisfied or troubled? The readers will certainly be able to decide this for themselves. All I can say is that in a part of our country there was such a governing system where people could not make decisions according to their own will; at all times some watchful eyes seemed to pierce their body and mind. I have written about the events there in the form of small fictional stories with a language that is simple and a mix of Bengali and Hindi. About the Author: My birthplace is Patna where I completed my education. I have always had a special interest in reading various types of books. For now I am a homemaker but I didn’t even realize when writing became my passion. Now I find that my mind is restless to put the moments I see and feel on paper. It is because of this obsession that I try to express the emotions of people living in diverse environments through stories.
