Pathogenic Microorganisms Antibiotics Sensitivity and Hazards Associated with Some Freshwater and Demersal Marine Fish Species in Nigeria

Fish and Crustaceans are important part of the diet of some people in Nigeria as it is a very rich source of protein having a balanced amino acid profile. The awareness of its value is gradually on the increase in the country being that it has unsaturated fatty acids and no cholesterol.However if it harbours some pathogenic microorganisms and hazards it could lead to some sicknesses and diseases when consumed especially when uncooked or undercooked.This book lays emphasis on the bio-integrity and safety of the species that are wild caught in the fresh water and marine environment while highlighting some antibiotics that could kill some of the pathogenic bacteria.
