Patient satisfaction assessment

About The Book

A satisfied patient is one who has visited the CSI at least three times and is at least satisfied during the consultation. Our research aims to assess patient satisfaction in the primary healthcare centres of the MOUNGALI health district in 2023.A cross-sectional analytical study was conducted from 8 July to 30 November on 409 patients or representatives selected using exhaustive sampling. Data collection was carried out at the PLATEAU and MOUKONDO CSIs. We used bivariate and multivariate analyses. The significance threshold was set at 5%.The sex ratio (F/M) was 15.39 with a predominance of 26- to 39-year-olds. Overall satisfaction was 90.5%. Factors associated with satisfaction were: a warm welcome; satisfaction with care; the attention given to patients by healthcare staff information about prescriptions: all answered 'yes' and the cost of medical care was less than 5000 CFA francs. The level of patient satisfaction in CSIs is satisfactory. Waiting times and the introduction of healthcare staff before admission must be taken into account by healthcare staff.
