Patient satisfaction in a paediatric emergency department
English

About The Book

Austria has a dense network of medical care facilities offering health services that can be accessed around the clock. This continuous provision of services and fluctuating utilisation rates pose a major challenge for the staff and management of emergency departments for example. In this context it is necessary to implement a valid tool to manage patient volumes and prioritise this customer group according to the urgency of their complaints. The emergency department of the University Clinic for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the General Hospital of the City of Vienna has decided to implement the British Manchester Triage System. In the course of this study patient satisfaction with this system was surveyed.
