<DIV>When first undergoing treatment for cancer Sigourney Cheek sometimes didn't have the energy to do anything more than sleep. So she created an e-mail list of eighteen people and logged on to give updates when she could. Soon that list grew to 160 contacts forming a sacred community of healing in cyberspace. The exchange of communications became an antidote for the isolation of illness and a rallying point of hope for Sigourney as she faced her disease and continued to live her life with humor realism and joy.</DIV></div>
