<p><em>Patrick the Paratrooper</em> takes the 'read-to-me' and early readers on an introduction to World War II. Patrick joins the world-renown Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) 101st Airborne made famous by the book written by Stephen Ambrose and the HBO miniseries <em>Band of Brothers</em>. </p><p><br></p><p>10-year old Patrick goes from enlistment into the Army to becoming a paratrooper. He parachutes into Normandy on D-Day jumps into The Netherlands for Operation Market-Garden fights in the bitter cold of Bastogne and reflects on the end of the war and his buddies at the Eagle's Nest. </p><p><br></p><p>With a surprise ending <em>Patrick the Paratrooper</em> will spark the interest of learning about our WWII heroes.
