PEPFOG

The photographic epic of a painter as a film or a ghost describes the 36-year career of Charles Clough. Of him and other artists included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 2009 exhibition The Pictures Generation curator Douglas Eklund has written Even if they were much too cool to ever go out on a limb and commit to an officially named movement and probably thought they had just missed the era when movements were still possible the Pictures group constituted the last movement in contemporary art to date.
