Migration is a phenomenon of all periods of history and of all continents. In addition Migration is becoming one of the global phenomena in the 21st century. From the Horn of Africa a number of domestic workers migrate to the Middle East countries are growing and most migrant women specifically from Ethiopia seek employment abroad not only to earn their own living but also to help out their families as well (GTZ 2006). The study was carried out to investigate the perceived psychosocial determinants of women migration to Middle East countries. Therefore the central intent of the present study was to find out whether what women migrants perceived and the real experiences of the returnees match or difference.
