Performance analysis of Image segmentation Algorithms

Image segmentation is used in various applications to detect a specific object. For example in medical field it is required to diagnose the exact part of the body for which the treatment is required. Similarly scientists are using the segmentation principle to identify the object on the planet. For all applications a particular method cannot produce the required result. Various properties like noise brightness etc. put impact on the images and so a single segmentation method or a single evaluation technique cannot be used for all types of images.
