A study on the performance and potential of edible caterpillar plants planted in the Ibi-village SAF was conducted in the Batéké Plateau in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the performance and potential of edible caterpillar plants planted in the Ibi-village agroforestry system and to do so we used observation as a research method. 35 species of edible caterpillar host plants were identified in this study divided into 16 families and 7 orders. Regarding the ecological spectra of the floras Mesophanerophytes and Sarcochores are preponderant. On the phytogeographical level the strong representativeness of the Guinean-Congolese element. Morphologically the majority of the species are trees. From this study the species Pentaclethra eetveldeana is the most dominant species. The most represented families are Fabaceae and Euphorbiaceae.
