Performance of King Chilli (Capsicum chinense)

A field experiment was carried out at the experimental farm of SASRD Medziphema Nagaland University during march to September 2012 to evaluate the integrated effect of chemical fertilizers organic manures biofertilizers and lime on growth yield quality and economics of king chilli in acid soil and the effect of integrated nutrient management on soil properties after harvest under Nagaland condition. The experiment was carried out in randomized block design (RBD) with three replications having 13 treatments viz. T1 Control T2 50%NPK + Lime T3 50%NPK T4 100%NPK + Lime T5 100%NPK T6 100%NPK + 15 t FYM + biofertilizer + lime T7 50% NPK + 15 t FYM + biofertilizer + lime T8 50%NPK + 15t FYM + lime T9 50%NPK + 15tFYM T10 100%NPK + 15t FYM + lime T11 100% NPK + 15t FYM T12 50% NPK + biofertilizer T13 100% NPK + biofertilizer. The observations revealed that integrated application of chemical fertilizers organic manures biofertilizers (PSB) and lime significantly increase growth yield and quality characters as compared to control.
